Tracy Spiridakos is leaving Chicago P.D after appearing as Det. Hailey Upton since Season 4. She will be in all 13 episodes of Season 11. The showrunner, Gwen Sigan, says Spiridakos is ready to depart and has given them a full season to do justice to her character. Jesse Lee Soffer, who played Det. Jay Halstead, left the show in Season 10. The storyline will explore Upton's growth and transformation as she realizes there might be a better life for her. Upton and Halstead's relationship had been strained, and Upton will have to deal with the aftermath.
